Scott Dozier's IQ Is 135

Scott Dozier, known for his intelligence with an EQ of 135, had a mind capable of complex thought and problem-solving. However, his life took a dark turn, and he became infamous for committing two gruesome murders. Dozier's case is a stark reminder that intellect does not always equate to positive outcomes.

In 2002, Dozier was convicted of murdering and dismembering a man in Las Vegas. He was sentenced to death and spent years on death row. Unlike most inmates, Dozier wanted to be executed and even asked the court to set a date. However, delays and legal battles over execution methods prolonged his wait. By 2019, still without an execution date, Dozier became increasingly despondent. On January 6, 2019, he hanged himself in his cell at Ely State Prison in Nevada. His suicide ended one of the most complex death penalty cases. It highlighted the contradictions and shifting politics of capital punishment in America.

Dozier's crimes were brutal. He killed two men in the early 2000s, dismembering one of the bodies. In one case, he promised to help a man buy chemicals for making meth but instead murdered him and stole his money. This victim’s body was found stuffed in a suitcase, while another victim's remains were discovered in the desert.

Despite his high IQ, Dozier's choices led him down a path of crime and ultimately to his death. His story shows that intelligence alone does not determine one’s destiny or moral compass.

How Does Scott Dozier's IQ Compare to the Rest of the World?

Scott Dozier's IQ of 135 places him in a rare zone. This score surpasses the threshold for Mensa, which includes the top 2% of the population. He could also have joined Intertel, an exclusive circle for the top 1%. But quite obviously, his crime would not have allowed him to meet any of the most basic standards for these organizations.

How Does Scott Dozier's 135 IQ Compare to Other Criminals?

Scott Dozier's IQ of 135 is a notable figure, placing him within the top 1% of the population. However, when compared to Keith Raniere's reported IQ of 240, the difference is stark. Raniere, infamous for his role in NXIVM, claims a score that would rank him among the most intelligent individuals ever tested (let alone criminals!), though his intellect was marred by unethical actions.

Similarly, Nathan Leopold and his IQ of 210 align closer to Raniere. Despite his incredible brain power, Leopold's judgment led him to participate in a notorious crime, proving that high intelligence doesn't always equate to moral integrity.

Ted Kaczynski's IQ of 167 also stands out, reflecting a profound but misdirected intellect. Known as the Unabomber, Kaczynski's intelligence was overshadowed by his destructive actions.

Meanwhile, Charlene Gallego, with an IQ of 160, and Andrew Cunanan with his 147 IQ,further illustrate that a high IQ does not always correlate with positive societal contributions. Gallego, part of a serial killer duo, and Cunanan, known for the murder of Gianni Versace, both demonstrate that intellect can be accompanied by troubling behavior.

This spectrum of intelligence shows that while a high IQ can be a powerful tool, it must be coupled with ethical behavior and sound judgment to truly benefit society.
